Very quickly the noose tightens on Isabelle, a potential black widow given her tumultuous past full of dead husbands. But as a former police officer who worked on her case a decade earlier reminds Mathilde: Isabelle has no motive and, above all, the police have no proof. In short: move around, there is nothing to see.

A confrontation between two women

The whole point of the mini-series “A Suspicion” lies there. Will Mathilde manage to crack the tough Isabelle who has all the arsenal to sow doubt? Armed with a formidable phlegm, an unfailing composure, with her charming crooked smile and her magnificent large, wide blue eyes, the widow knows how to pity as well as threaten half-heartedly. Alternately devious seductress or cunning manipulator, pleasant or threatening, this adorable mother or demonic serial killer is played by the exceptional actress, Odile Vuillemin.

Odile Vuillemin plays Isabelle in the series “Un suspicion”

Odile Vuillemin, the ex-psycho-criminologist from the series “Profilage” on TF1, reveals a range of games vast enough so that the innocence or guilt of her character never appears. Joyce Bibring, seen in “Chef” or “Clem”, perfectly portrays her as a go-getter investigator but weakened by childhood trauma. Like the cunning Colombo, she must uncover the detail that will confuse Isabelle.

This confrontation between two women ready to do anything to win the game is brilliantly directed by Philippe Dajoux, a director who subscribes to mass production of industrial products such as “Plus belle la vie” or “Un si grand soleil”. He finally finds material to express his talent with this gripping RTS – TV co-production in four episodes available on Play RTS until their broadcast on October 16 on France 2.
