In a press release, the lawyers gave a reaction after this police custody. “This confirms the extortion attempts in order to extract funds from Sébastien Cauet in disregard of his innocence. We hope that the prosecution will take seriously the slander of which he has been the victim for a year and for which he filed a complaint in November 2023 “, they said.

For its part, the public prosecutor’s office indicated that the woman’s custody had been lifted on Wednesday afternoon. No legal action has been taken, but investigations must continue.

They will have to answer a question: if its application is proven, was this woman part of a larger network which wanted to harm the host or did she just try to take advantage of the situation?

On May 24, Sébastien Cauet was indicted. In July, he obtained the right to do radio again, but without an audience. No house has reached out to him and he has not found a contract since November 2023. Time when he officiated on NRJ as standard bearer.
