“The Hymn to Love” sung by Céline Dion at the Olympics finally available for streaming

MUSIC – We had to wait more than two months. The interpretation of The Hymn to Love par Celine Dion, sung at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games, is finally available on streaming platforms since Thursday, October 10.

A little earlier on Wednesday, the Canadian diva had posted on her social networks a short extract from the start of her breathtaking interpretation of Edith Piaf’s love song. The date chosen for the release of the title on Spotify or Deezer is no coincidence: Édith Piaf died on October 10, 1963 at the age of 47.

On July 26, Celine Dion appeared above the Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower. The highlight of the show from the artistic director of the Olympic Games Thomas Jolly, and a nice surprise despite the rumors that had been going around for several weeks already.

Parade et Nightcall already available

Because nothing guaranteed his arrival. The star is in fact suffering from stiff man syndrome, a debilitating and painful illness which almost completely prevents him from singing. His performance, the first in several years in public, finally delighted the audience.

Several other key pieces from the Paris Olympics have already been posted online, such as Nightcall taken up by Angèle and Phoenix with Kavinsky during the closing ceremony. The title Parade composed by Victor Le Masne and the official anthem of the Games has also been available on platforms since mid-September.
