“MasterChef Québec”: a departure moves the candidates… and the judges

There are some departures that are more heartbreaking than others, and we had proof of that this evening at MasterChef Quebec.

Remember that the week started abruptly for the candidates of MasterChef Quebecwho learned that the mystery box challenge would result in elimination.

After presenting their dishes, which they had to imagine and make from basic ingredients, they are Gerry, with his flamekueche, and John, with his pie, who found themselves in danger.

Unfortunately, it was the oldest member of the group who was shown the door.

Before putting her apron back on, the bubbly retiree wanted to address a few words to the members of the brigade… but also to the judges, Stefano Faita and Martin Picard.

She said she was grateful to the other participants for their support, which lifted her and helped her during certain challenges, but also wanted to thank the facilitators for the gentle mix of rigor and gentleness they showed towards the cooks. …and we could detect a little emotion in the eye of the owner of the Pig’s Foot!

It was not only in the kitchen that the announcement of Johanne’s departure created a stir, but in the cottages too, since several viewers were disappointed to see her leave, appreciating her presence on screen.
