A true class mare, this resident ofHédi Le Bec is used to similar confrontations, like this Parisian event. Facing the only females here, and ideally committed to winnings, she finds the Enghien track which she particularly likes and is associated with Benjamin Rochardwho knows it by heart. It is also she who has the best “time” of the lot (1’13”2) on the course that interests us: that of the 2,875 meters of the Soisy plateau. She must, of course, return the distance, but seems to discover a task within her reach.
His last race
On August 30, she won on the Laval racecourse, over the long course, beating the males on this occasion, including the good Hamonet by Choisel. “Haitian Fight Song (12) has not been seen in the race since her victory on August 30 in Laval. She should have run on September 22 at Vincennes, but I had to declare her a non-runner because of a cough that occurred the day before. She has often done very well with freshness and I hope she can compensate for this lack of competition. Generous and talented, she has the means to integrate the winning combination.”
