. Olivier Norek receives an award for “Winter Warriors”

Incredible weekend for Aveyronnais Olivier Norek whose parents live in Aubin. Last Thursday, his eighth novel “Les Guerrier de l’hiver”, published by Michel Lafon, was selected in the second round of the Renaudot and Interallié literary prizes. Friday October 4, the work was also selected in the second round of the Jean-Giono prize.

The best travel novel of the year

And this Saturday, October 5, Olivier Norek was awarded the “ – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry” prize, as part of the “Faites Lire!” festival, by the jury chaired by Daniel Pennac.

It celebrates the art of discovery and rewards the best novel of the year on travel: whether journey, introspection, physical journey through unknown landscapes or French-speaking graphic work that combines visual art and narration.

A first prize for “Les Guerriers de l’hiver”, also selected for the André-Malraux and Visionnaires prizes. You will have to wait until October 16 to find out the 2nd round of the André-Malraux Prize selection and October 17 for the Visionnaires.
