“Feelings”, new title from Gringe with Orelsan as guest

Sensitive, hypersensitive ascendant, this is Gringe, long identified as Orelsan’s cool sidekick in the Casseurs Flowters, an eternal weak-willed person ready to do anything for a win.

In recent years, he has abandoned his character as a rap slacker and shows us an artist tormented and even battered by life. He explodes in front of the camera, with increasingly fleshed out roles since Tickles by Andréa Bescond and Eric Metayer.
A double rap and cinema hat, to which was added a book Together we bark in silence published in 2020, 85,000 copies sold, in which Gringe alias Guillaume Tranchant, told the story of his brother, Thibault, diagnosed with schizophrenia. Painful subject which had also fueled Moon Childhis first solo album, an introspective and dark record that left him raw.

Gringe returns to rap with this Overhang Effect written in reaction to the death of young Nahel, one of the 14 tracks from this new album, Hypersensitive. It took a meeting, that with Tigri, a young producer-composer trained at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, for rap to regain the ascendancy in Gringe’s life.
We know the importance that meetings have always had for him: the one in Caen with Orelsan of course, and more recently, the one with the singer Christophe, a few months before his disappearance.

Flowing happy daysx, a title written in homage to the composer of Blue Wordsthis is the title which closes this new disc with its confessional feel. Gringe indulges in it like never before! On his emotions, his experiences, depression, parenthood, but also on current events, Gringe does not live in a bubble. And finally, of course, a reunion with the man with whom he has been having a bromance for over 20 years, Orelsan who brings his light and his good feeling.
