The short film in the spotlight with the Cinéma associatif de Ploemeur

Four short films will be shown at the next short film evening organized by the Cinéma associatif de Ploemeur (Morbihan). The screening will take place on Friday October 11, 2024, in the presence of the film teams. This evening is offered in addition to the usual monthly programming, in partnership with director Laurie Aguirre, of Myself Production.

Behind the scenes of the filming

“We want to give a helping hand, or at least more visibility, to local directors by offering them the opportunity to screen their films”explain the volunteers of the Associative Cinema. This evening will also be an opportunity to discuss with the directors the specificities of this cinematographic format and behind the scenes of filming, but also with some actors present. “The short film is first and foremost a story of means because it is more affordable for us, directors, confides Laurie Aguirre. It involves fast and dynamic filming. On the storyline side, we must be direct, have a very condensed narration. »

Three Breton directors

The first short film of the evening is entitled Scoundrels. It was directed by Tangi Merien, director, screenwriter and actor, who is part of Morzhol Prod, an independent collective which has been making short films since 2017. Scoundrels is his second film as director within the collective. For her part, Clélia Chemin will present her film Bad day.

Also showing, two short films by Laurie Aguirre: Tu are my secretfilmed in 2021, and Murderous passiona thriller which dates from September 2023. The latter was filmed in the country of . We will therefore enjoy discovering well-known landscapes, notably the Fort Bloqué beach.

In addition, the next screening date of the Associative Cinema is scheduled for Thursday October 17, 2024, at 6:15 p.m., Port-Blanc room, with the French film Fric-Frac. Directed by Maurice Lehmann and Claude Autant-Lara, this film released in 1939 is a classic, carried by three exceptional actors, Fernandel, Arletty and Michel Simon.
