Dance workshops, a giant part of Just Dance on the set of the main stage, an open stage, a rap concert or even a DJ set: Équinoxe had adopted a young and relaxed look, Saturday October 5, 2024, in Châteauroux. “We want to open up to a wider audience”confirmed Robin Terall, responsible for audience development for the national scene.
The performance hall took part in the second edition of the Dar Dar weekend, financed by the Region, in order to allow young people aged 15 to 25 to have free access to theaters and concert halls and thus bring them closer to culture. And, to do this, what could be better than integrating them into the organization. “We turned to the high school and student associations of Châteauroux”confirms Robin Terall. They are the ones who decided on the theme “Music and dance” for this day. Participants were able to enjoy free pancakes (A2C, CCI Campus Center) and board games (Let’s Pl’Hei).
The students also expressed their desire to “carry current music and especially rap, because there are few offers in the city”specifies Robin Terall. This is how Shien, a rapper from Châteauroux, performed on the stage of the Café Equinoxe, before leaving the mission of concluding the evening to Dirty Crew, who came from Tours. According to Equinoxe, “About 900 people” took advantage of this 2e Dar Dar weekend edition, in Châteauroux.
