The Festival of the Tree returns to Duran for a festive and committed 19th edition

Film screenings, educational workshops, local market: the Tree Festival promises a rich edition from October 16 to November 3.

The Arbor Festival returns to Duran for its 19th edition. It will begin with promotional actions on Wednesday October 16 at 2:15 p.m. at Ciné 32 with the screening of the film “Sauvages” followed by a debate on the forest with Arbre et Paysage 32.

The organizers will continue, as part of the Gers Participatory Budget, with the participation of local residents with a first planting of trees adapted to climate change on Saturday October 26 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in various neighborhoods of the town. Another session will be held in mid-November with the children of the Duran school and the educational participation of Arbre et Paysage 32.

Walks, exhibitors, workshops

On Sunday, November 3, loyal and new exhibitors representing woodworking trades, nursery growers, regional flavors and products will be welcomed who will present and sell their products. A large space will be devoted to the entertainment program.

Hikes on trails and walks around biodiversity, pony rides, medieval stand, workshops led by Récup Art, traditional Gascon games, Tree and Landscape exhibition, presence of local collectors with the Aspad stand and workshop creative… The free entertainment program will be diverse and suitable for all ages. As usual, there will be a united and festive moment around the planting of the tree of conviviality and the musical pot hosted by La Croch’bal with the presence of the usual speaker Stéphane. Visitors will also be able to find a refreshment area and a catering area around traditional stew, pancakes, pancakes and Gascon oysters.
