. Les Écrans de l’aventure Festival: discover the 2024 winners

End clap for the 33rd edition of the international festival Les Écrans de l’aventure, at the Cellier de Clairvaux in ! These six days of audiovisual and literary festival, organized by the La Guilde association and the City of Dijon, had the theme “Adventure to grow up”. This year, 14 films were in competition and screened on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Olympia cinema. Nineteen out-of-competition screenings were also offered.

The films in competition

Several prizes were awarded with a jury chaired by Catherine Destivelle, climber, mountaineer and editor, and composed of Céline Develay-Mazuelle, RFI journalist, Arnaud Finistre, AFP photo-reporter, Hans Lucas, Charles Gazelle, producer, and Christophe Raylat, director.

The Golden Fleece for adventure film awarded by the City of Dijon is awarded to One with the Whale Pete Chelkowski and Jim Wickens.

The Special Jury Prize is awarded to Sophie Lavaud, the last summit by Francis Damilano.

The Jean-Marc Boivin Prize rewarding the authenticity of an adventure experienced is awarded to Anita Conti, the call of the sea by Frédéric Brunnquell.

The Jury Mention was awarded to the film As far as the eye can see by Pierre and Carla Petit.

The Audience Prize is awarded to With RittonEdit by Antoine Girard, Brian Mathé and Morgan Monchaud.

The Youth Prize, for its part, was awarded to Alaska, Dick Proenneke’s cabin d’Eliott Schonfeld.

Two prizes reward the competing books

The Golden Fleece for adventure book of the year awarded by the Gibert bookstore is awarded to Five days in Timor by Morgan Segui (Première Parallèle, May 2024), while the Readers’ Prize from the Dijon municipal library is awarded to Island, Island. The call of 66° North by Pierre-Antoine Guillotel (Transboréal, June 2024).

The jury was chaired by Sébastien de Courtois, writer, presenter and producer, and composed of Katia Fondecave, responsible for the documentary offering at the municipal library of Dijon, Gaële de Brosse, journalist, editor, responsible for the Toison d’Or, Virginie Troussier, journalist and writer, Arnaud de la Grange, writer, and Rémy Oudghiri, sociologist and writer.

Finally, the Golden Fleece for the adventurer of the year 2024 awarded by La Guilde was awarded to Yann Quenet and Baluchon.
