We dive into this scandal that exploded the Internet, the criminal charges facing rapper P. Diddy. With his actions potentially having huge consequences on the music industry, we’re investigating how all this has affected Justin Bieber and our favorite stars.

P. Diddy, aka Sean John Combs, is currently in custody, accused of terrible crimes that are directly or indirectly linked to several well-known Hollywood faces. If you are not aware of the sordid affair that is currently making headlines, here’s what you missed:
The rapper, who allegedly committed sexual abuse and incredible violence according to the complaints he received, pleaded not guilty to the following charges: trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation, extortion, and transporting people for the purposes of of prostitution. According to multiple testimonies obtained during his trial, Diddy is known in the music industry as a sexual predator, drugging his victims to achieve his ends. Remember that he was also prosecuted for his acts of domestic violence against his ex-wife, the singer Cassie.
How did he pull off his schemes? His indictment charges him with racketeering conspiracy, which implies a group conspiracy. Diddy therefore allegedly set up a huge network of employees and institutions under the direction of his organization, Combs company, to orchestrate situations where he could carry out his abuses.
Very often, this set-up included huge parties, called Freak Offsto which he invited his famous colleagues and sex workers and then loaded them with illicit substances. To make matters worse, he used fraudulent techniques, force or coercion, through false professional promises or manipulation, to ensure that the people present would not say a word against him.

Several rumors are circulating about the important place of Diddy in the star system, accompanied by his friends Jay Z and Beyonce – some would even like to connect him to the death of well-known artists who would have had more success than Beyonce and who would therefore have died suspicious for this reason. The most widespread gossip, on the other hand, is about the stars who have potentially participated in the Freak Offs from near or far, and what they experienced there without being able to denounce it.
While several stars were seen at these infamous parties, Justin Bieber was particularly close to Diddy for much of his career. Looking upset, he did not want to comment on the current situation, wishing to distance himself from his ex-friend.
However, here’s what we know about Diddy and Justin’s disturbing bond:
1. Diddy had an important role in Justin’s career
According to Stylecaster, at the start of his career, the interpreter of Bto a met Diddy through singer Usher, who was already an inspiration to him and who was already under the mentorship of the doomed rapper. He quickly took a 15-year-old Justin under his wing, spending time with him and introducing him to other big names in Hollywood to propel his popularity.
2. The rapper was the young Canadian singer’s “guardian” for 48 hours
In this YouTube video from 2009, Diddy acts as Justin’s caretaker for two days. The latter, still at the age of 15, is not accompanied by his family and, alone with the rapper, discusses the crazy things they are going to do. Diddy mentions that he “doesn’t want to reveal” the nature of their planned activities, but that it will be “every 15-year-old boy’s dream.” Justin seems to be hinting that they’ll be meeting women, which, considering the kind of parties his mentor was throwing, doesn’t bode well.
3. Diddy seems to have introduced Justin to a life of party while he was a minor
In the years that followed, the young singer could often be seen alongside Diddy, photographed at parties where Justin seemed in a daze. However, it was only in 2015 that Justin came of age, and it was his mentor who gave him his “first shot” of alcohol, all in front of the cameras.
In an interview with Howard Stern, Usher rightly mentioned that during the period when he was sponsored by Diddy, he was often brought to parties where he witnessed things inappropriate for his age. The singer couldn’t really make sense of everything he saw, but has a memory of it that he describes as “crazy times.”
4. His declining health pushed Justin to distance himself
His days as a party animal, combined with his drunk driving incident and his unflattering public appearances had led the public to announce the “downfall” of Justin Bieber. Following this, he went through mental and physical health concerns which led him to cancel several concerts. Through these difficult times, it appears he took a “break” from Diddy and his big parties, to take time to go through an arduous healing process.
5. He would have wanted to protect Billie Eilish from the dark sides of the industry
In an interview published by Apple Music in 2020, the star mentioned that he had wanted to protect Billie (aged 18 at the time) from certain aspects of their field. Showing his unwavering support for the young pop star, he also spoke about his transition to adulthood in the public eye:
“It was hard for me being so young, being in the industry and not knowing where to turn, and everyone telling me they loved me, and turning their back on me in one go. second… I just want to protect her,” said the singer about Billie Eilish. “I don’t want her to go through what I went through. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”
To conclude these worrying revelations, he added that he lived “in shame” about his past.
6. He would have left clues of what he experienced in his songs
Already his few interviews about his adolescence seem to point towards disturbing experiences alongside Diddy and the other stars accompanying him in debauchery, the interpreter of Yummy would perhaps have left traces of his uneasiness in his pieces.
According to TikTok, the songs Lonely et Monster would address these terrible moments that he could not talk about openly. The first mentions his great loneliness despite his popularity, and the second goes as follows:

Although he said he was unaware of Diddy’s crimes at the time, Justin did mention that he regretted his collaboration with the controversial star, and appears to have had a tough life in the celebrity world. Diddy’s next appearance in court is October 9time will perhaps tell us more about this terrible scandal.
