Conference “CLTR 2024 – Creation, AI and platforms”

What will the future of cultural and artistic creation look like in the era of artificial intelligence (AI) and the thriving platform economy? This question will be the theme of the CTRL 2024m conference on November 5, 2024 at the Congress Center in Basel in collaboration with creative sector stakeholders, SME representatives, academics and politicians.

The following questions will be at the heart of the interventions, round tables and practical examples:

  • What is cultural and artistic creation?
  • How are AI and the platform economy changing cultural and artistic creation?
  • Will it still be possible to distinguish whether art and creation are the work of man or machine?
  • Do AI and digital platforms threaten cultural and artistic creation in Switzerland?
  • Is competition from AI offerings and platforms wise?
  • Could society in the future place more importance on AI results than on human creativity?
  • To what extent does the legal framework need to be adapted?

The CLTR 2024 conference organized by theFederal Institute of Intellectual Property highlights the future of cultural and artistic creation in Switzerland in the era of AI and digital platforms. Technological changes raise both legal and ethical questions. Together, we are committed to the responsible and successful use of AI and digital platforms.
