There are groups who are alone in their art. For some (this is the majority), it is because they are unknown; for others, and it is rarer, it is because they are inimitable. Such is the case of Einstürzende Neubauten, which will be in concert this Sunday at the Alhambra in Geneva through a joint venture between the PTR and the Electron festival.
Why are “the Neubauten” (as they are generally called in French) unique? Because they have succeeded in combining the perpetuation of a strong identity with constant, controlled evolution – in other words a form of hunting for wisdom
