Timeleft, the concept of dinners between strangers which is a hit in Morocco

After having left its mark on Paris, NYC, São Paulo and Sydney, Timeleft was launched in North Africa in July 2024, with Morocco as its first country. This unique experience brings six strangers together over dinner. The mission of the French start-up is to enrich people’s lives by promoting human and authentic encounters – thus creating new friendships, romantic relationships, and even business opportunities.

When a dinner becomes a human adventure

Timeleft replaces screens with face-to-face meetings and spontaneous interactions. The way we meet is thus transformed: no more virtual, endless chats on the phone, “Hello” in writing. Here, we say “Hello” to each other with a kiss, we talk face-to-face, and above all, we have a friendly time around a good meal.

Since its launch in Portugal in May 2023, Timeleft has attracted more than 800,000 people and is thus reshaping social interactions in large cities. Residents of Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech and Tangier also now have the opportunity to expand their circle of acquaintances.

In Morocco, 15,000 people have registered on the application since its launch, and more than 1,000 people have already participated in a dinner. “We have participants from 18 to 70 years old, that’s what makes the magic of Timeleft. Every Wednesday, more than 100 people meet to dine, chat, and laugh. Some people even come every week! This shows that many people need to meet new people» enthuses Soukaina Lebbar, Manager of the North Africa region.

Zineb, a 35-year-old Timelefter, uses the application almost every Wednesday and declares “Honestly, it’s a wonderful experience. I even met someone who became a close friend at a Timeleft dinner, and today we just love each other!»

Youssef, a 29-year-old young man, praised the precision of the matchmaking process: “The algorithm is surprisingly fair. The group was adequate for me, and I had a great time. I will definitely try again!»

These dinners provide an ideal platform for creating lasting relationships in a friendly and relaxed setting. Moreover, during dinner, users are invited to break the ice through a series of questions intended to open the heart and mind.

How to register?

Timeleft dinners are held every Wednesday at 8 p.m., in Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech and Tangier. You can choose from different options: the single ticket or the subscription.
