On Tuesday September 24 at the Espace André Marquerie of the Tourist Information Office at the Hôtel de Lassus, Jean Jacques Rodriguez the director welcomed Dany Rigondeau for the opening of a beautiful collection of oil paintings with a few pastels entitled “A passion for Van Gogh”.
If Dany has a real passion for this painter, many of them responded to the invitation. Many amateur painters but also others passionate about the painting of the self-taught artist Dany Rigondeau.
Note the presence of Yoan, Dany’s grandson who came specially from Aix en Provence for this exceptional opening.
Parents and friends were able to appreciate the work of the artist who is presenting some 28 paintings there until October 23. In his warm welcome, Jean Jacques Rodriguez launched a proposal which perhaps will be heard: “Why not take pictorial walks like Van Gogh did?” As for Dany, she did not hide her emotion: “Thank you for letting me be exposed in this bright place.” We understand that the artist likes light and colors like his mentor.
