The cult series Friends recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. For the occasion, the streaming platform Max announced the upcoming arrival of a brand new program dedicated to the series. We tell you everything Fast Friends, the new TV show.
It was on September 22, 1994 that the first episode of Friends is revealed to the general public with the band made up of Rachel Green, Monica Geller and her brother Ross, Phoebe Buffay, Joey Tribbiani and Chandler Bing. Since then, the series Friends has become cult all over the world and continues to be viewed without moderation. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the series, this September 22, an announcement from the streaming platform Max delighted many fans. In fact, a new show called Fast Friends should arrive on the platform soon. We tell you more!
Do you really know Friends?
You will have understood, it is not a sequel, nor a reboot but rather a game show. The aim of Fast Friends is simple: test fans’ knowledge of the sitcom. The show will be divided into four parts and punctuated by various questions putting fans to the test, but also games and puzzles linked to emblematic places of the series such as Monica and Rachel’s apartments, that of Chandler and Joey, without forgetting the legendary Central Perk.
Regarding the game mechanics, Fast Friends will be played as a team, and the team which has accumulated the most points will then be awarded the title of the biggest fans of Friends. But that’s not all, in order to immerse the candidates more into the world of the series, the show will be filmed in the premises of The Friends Experience : The One in New York.
A place that would truly make you feel like you’re following in the footsteps of Rachel, Monica, Ross, Joey, Chandler and Phoebe. Moreover, second good news, after a visit to Paris in November 2022, The Friends Experience is soon making a comeback at Galeries Montparnasse, an opportunity to (re)discover the cult settings of the series.
For the moment, the announcement of the game Fast Friends was not accompanied by a release date. However, we know that production should begin next month. We will not fail to communicate to you the next information concerning the game show.
