the underground brand with punk accents for young elites

Its name is ironic but, beyond a certain second degree, is also the reflection of a part of society that cannot be ignored. Focus on a brand with a nihilistic and destroy spirit pimped with a touch of aristo.

We imagine the target of Depressed Rich Kids on vacation at the Ritz-Carlton in Puerto Rico, transforming a sunset into a dark and dramatic scene. This duality is an integral part of the brand’s identity: pieces of a certain price, designed by a young elite for the young elites, imbued with an underground punk style worthy of the tortured rockers of the 90s.

The nihilistic and elitist fashion of Enfants Riches Déprimés

In 2012, this new label made a notable entry into the fashion market. We owe it to Henry Levy, a 24-year-old young man from a wealthy Los Angeles family. Enfants Riches Déprimés was born, a name relating to the life of the creator, who spent as much time at the University of California in Los Angeles, UCLA, in the art section as through rehab.

The entire DNA of the brand lies in this ambivalence which did not fail to provoke a reaction from the public. Scandalous for some, mirror of a certain evil which floods society for others: whatever the criticism, Enfants Riches Déprimés has managed to build a community of celebrities, like Justin Bieber and Ye, and young elites who recognized in this speech. Not to mention his muses, notably the highly contested Marilyn Manson.

The brand’s collections carry a very nineties style that Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain could have adopted. Punk rock fashion made up of leather jackets, sweaters bearing the image of stars of the underground scene like Lou Reed, thigh-high boots and t-shirts with provocative messages. All twisted with aristocratic and preppy touches like pussy-bow shirts, ties, knee-high socks and blazers.

A destroyed side, accompanied by substantial pricing, which could reflect the trendy evenings at the Gossip Girl where the excesses of drugs and alcohol and the blasé attitudes of wealthy youth are not posted on Instagram.

And the Rich Kids and other fans of this controversial spirit were able to appreciate the brand’s latest spring-summer 2025 line, presented this Sunday, September 29 during Fashion Week.
