A choice that made him react, given their close proximity: “I have no worries about him. He’s going to be in high demand.” After her departure, is Claire Chazal ready to join the 24-hour news channel? Nothing is less certain. “After the 8 p.m. broadcast on TF1, I didn’t want to continue reporting in other conditions. I had been too lucky, too resourceful, too happy to be in this editorial team and to build this newspaper”. The journalist who also presents culture columnists on Public Sénate then confided that she liked longer formats and that is the reason why her friend never asked her to join the channel: “I like something fuller, longer, more developed, calmer perhaps. And he knew it.”

Claire Chazal’s new project

Marc-Olivier Fogiel was ousted this summer, before being replaced by Fabien Namias on July 22. A departure that he announced on his social networks the same day: “With a lot of emotion but the feeling of duty accomplished, I decided, at the end of a five-year term, to leave BFMTV.” The former emblematic host of France 3 was pushed out after being implicated in a case of manipulation of information. He is suspected of complacency with Nicolas Sarkozy’s entourage in Nicolas Sarkozy’s entourage. For the moment, Marc-Olivier Fogiel has not yet formalized any return. As for Claire Chazal, she enjoys presenting the literary show Au Bonheur des Livres on Public Sénate every Friday at 11 p.m.: “I followed in the footsteps of the show that already existed. Our goal is to make people want to read and get to know the authors. We are trying to find a link between them so that they can talk to each other like this will be the case with Gaël Faye and Alice Zeniter”.
