Alain Delon: His son Anthony shares moving images for a last goodbye

On November 8, 2024, the day he would have celebrated his 89th birthday, a tribute will be paid to Alain Delon during a film show in Paris called Alain Delon: The last samurai. Having lost his father since August 18 – and having already paid him a magical tribute in Douchy according to Véronique de Villèle – Anthony Delon shared an image of this philharmonic concert which will retrace the actor’s greatest successes, notably The Swimming Pool, The Cheetah, Borsalino, Three Men to Kill, The Gypsy, The Rebel or even Plein Soleil and Rocco and his brothers.

“A tribute dedicated to his audience” writes the brother of Alain-Fabien and Anouchka in the caption. Important detail: all profits from this concert will be donated to research against Alzheimer’s disease.

New images have also been shared via the official account dedicated to this event. “Are you ready to relive the legend of Alain Delon on the big screen? On November 8, 2024, at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, we will pay tribute to the greatest actor of his generation” we can read. We thus discover that 80 live musicians will replay the greatest titles of the successes which forged the career of Alain Delon.

Alain Delon: a final moving tribute in music

“We invite you to retrace the immense cinematographic career of an extraordinary actor through a good number of masterpieces in the history of the 7th art. From Nino Rota to Philippe Sarde, from Michel Legrand to Claude Bolling in performing by Ennio Morricone and Jean-Michel Jarre, the Douai Orchestra will perform the music of the main themes of the chosen films which will be accompanied by a unique montage of cinematographic extracts broadcast on a giant screen in cinemascope format” indicates the official website of the Douai orchestra.

A show which will undoubtedly be very moving for the fans but also for those close to Alain Delon.
