Former super model Naomi Campbell banned from running charity: ‘I’m very worried’

Naomi Campbell is one of three directors of the Fashion for Relief fund who are disqualified after the commission’s investigation, reports the British news agency PA.

After being made a knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by on Thursday, Ms. Campbell confirmed to the press that she had been informed of the commission’s decision: “I am very concerned and we will investigate on our side while I did not control the charitable foundation, I had placed that control in the hands of a lawyer.”

“So we’re investigating the what and the how, while everything I do and every penny I raise goes to charity.”

The charity was founded in 2015 by Naomi Campbell and was dissolved and removed from the charity register earlier this year.

It was dedicated to uniting the fashion industry to contribute to the fight against poverty, and to guarantee access to health care and education.

The investigation into Fashion for Reliefe led by the British commission was opened in 2021.

The British authority established that between April 2016 and July 2022, only 8.5% of the foundation’s total expenditure was paid to charity.
