The new episode of Alex Hugo is currently being filmed in Puy-Saint-Vincent at Prey Sabeyran, in the Hautes-Alpes. The technical teams and actors have taken over a chalet to shoot some scenes for this new episode called “The New Eldorado”.

At 58, Samuel Le Bihan, the actor nominated for the 1997 Césars for Best Male Newcomer, is particularly fit. “The role of Alex Hugo requires a lot of physical commitment,” the actor emphasizes to BFM DICI.

Even if the unfolding of this new episode is not totally known, Mikaël Fitoussi, one of the leading actors, gave BFM DICI a little bit of the synopsis. “There is a disappearance of a couple, apparently, it is rather innocuous, but it will turn out, by pulling the thread a little, to still have many ramifications in particular an in-laws who are last”.

“We try to never reproduce the same things”

With thirty-two episodes, director Thierry Petit has to look for perpetual renewal. “We try to never reproduce the same things from one episode to the next, so of course we have continuity in the main characters, but then the themes of the investigations change each time. That’s what’s interesting,” he says.

Samuel le Bihan filmed for almost a decade in the Hautes-Alpes for the series, he tells us his favorite place:

“I really like the Clarée Valley. It’s very beautiful. It’s a preserved place. There’s no electricity. Mobile phones don’t work. There’s a magnificent river with a sublime waterfall.”

Filming will take place over twenty days and will end at the end of September. A six-week period will be devoted to editing. Thierry Petit, the director, hopes for delivery next December.
