It’s an original and enthusiastic start to the school year, but it won’t always be a party for the 14 students of the “Traditional Music and Songs of Corsica and the Mediterranean” degree. A demanding course and a mission await them.

Intermittent performers, violinists, performers, on stage or in recording studios, these students already sing and play. They are between 18 and 43 years old and share the same passion: traditional Corsican music. For three years, they will perfect their art and obtain the music teaching diploma, valid in all conservatories.

“Living from your passion is sometimes complicatedand that could be the goal of this training: to live from music by being either a teacher or an artist, and we hope to achieve that”confides Pierre-François Luciani, one of the students.

Jean-Claude Acquaviva, Jérome Casalonga, and many renowned teachers, Italian or French will follow them. The Corsican Community willrte more than 700,000 euros for this training over 3 years, it signs an agreement with the Institute of Higher Education of Aix and the university. This is to ensure the transmission of the Riacquistu.

Students will have access to the sound resources from the sound library.

Classes begin this Tuesday, September 24. In addition to professional opportunities, brilliant careers are to be hoped for…
