The Parcours de l’Art Avignon, a contemporary art festival, is starting its 30th edition with a special theme for this Olympic year: the body and movement. 20 artists will be brought together for this anniversary edition.
Among the many artists who responded to our call for applications, we selected 12 talents: Awena Cozannet, Mathis Benestebe, Emmanuel Béranger, Elsa Chazal, Darius Dolatyari-Dolatdoust, Françoise Joudrier, Amandine Maillot, Mariam Niare, Gilles Pourtier, Fu Le, Patrick Vandecasteele, Chloé Viton.
Their works explore a wide artistic palette made of textiles, photography, painting, performance, sculpture, video, but also granite, smoke, and some unusual creatures.
They tell the stories of our singular bodies and question the forms of our vast collective body. Bodies evoked, represented, filmed, absent, dancing, singing, performative, political and poetic which through movement become language.
