Ten Former Pixar Employees Point Finger at Working Conditions on ‘Inside Out 2’

Recently fired, they denounce the very difficult working conditions during the making of “Inside Out 2”.

If ” Inside Out 2 ” was a huge cinematic success this summer and even became the most lucrative animated film, the American media IGN revealed in what conditions the Pixar employees made this feature film.

The ten people interviewed were recently fired and denounce a ” tyrannical management ” and very difficult working conditions.” You were working 24/7. And so after a while, your body starts to break down. “, revealed one of the employees. And to specify ” When we were talking about the film, we felt like we had to finish it. We just wanted it to be over and not have to watch it anymore. There was a real sense of urgency: we had to get to the end. We just wanted to cross the finish line and be done with it. “.

If employees were put under pressure, it was because of the crisis that Pixar experienced. The production company was greatly impacted by Covid, which forced the closure of movie theaters and the release of films only on platforms. And the feature films released after the pandemic were not very successful.
