TF1 and Télévisions will distribute Arte content for free via streaming

Arte offers thousands of programs ranging from series to documentaries, films, magazines, concerts and shows, two thirds of which are exclusively online.

TF1, for its part, is pleased, in a press release, to be intensifying its policy of distributing external content: “This new partnership will allow TF1 + to enrich its catalogue with the aggregation of attractive third-party content […] and for Arte to benefit from the powerful audiences of TF1+ and its massive distribution in homes.”

Another agreement validated

In addition to the agreement with Arte, TF1 announced another similar one with A & E Television Network (AETN), “a leading American television group in the field of documentaries.” “With this agreement, the platform is acquiring more than 700 hours of documentary programs in various genres,” including for example the shows “Le transporteur de l’extrême” and “Ghosts Hunters,” continued TF1. “We are particularly proud of these partnerships which reinforce our aggregation strategy” and demonstrate “our strong ambition for our platform,” commented the CEO of the TF1 group, Rodolphe Belmer, quoted in the press release.
