Belgian star Stromae announced on Tuesday a “film” about his European “Multitude” tour, which he had to interrupt in May 2023 for health reasons.

Saying he needed “rest”, he had completely stopped his tour, already partially stopped while it was supposed to last until December 2023. He was supposed to perform in several cities in France, Belgium and Germany. In April of that year, he had already cancelled three concerts planned in Switzerland, in Geneva and Basel.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support,” he wrote in a post on his social networks on Tuesday. “Your kindness and empathy, following the cancellation of the rest of the tour, touched me enormously.”

“I am aware that this situation may have disappointed some people and I would have liked to end the Multitude adventure on a better note. That is why with my team (…), we have gathered all the existing images around the live in order to offer you the possibility of discovering the show for free or simply relive it”, he announces. And to conclude: “more information will follow soon. I hope you will like the film.”

Exhausted by an XXL world tour following the album “Racine carrée” (2013), Stromae threw in the towel for the first time at the end of 2015, undermined by depression aggravated by the side effects of an antimalarial.

The one who is among the most listened to French-speaking artists in the world finally returned to the stage in 2022 to present “Multitude”. This third album allowed him to win a sixth and seventh Victoire de la Musique. He confessed to “suicidal thoughts” in “L’enfer”, a track with a strong autobiographical tone released in 2022.
