The followers of If we loved each other will be delighted to learn that TVA will broadcast a “celebrity” version of its popular romantic docureality next spring. In addition to following the journey of four celebrities, the show will feature a new witness couple replacing Émily Bégin and Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge.
Three queer women and one queer man known to the public will have to choose a partner at the start of the adventure and it is the relationship support expert Louise Sigouin who will guide them through the ups and downs of their respective journeys.

If we loved each other Celebrities will not be a daily as the original formula would have it, but a weekly meeting. Thirteen episodes of sixty minutes each have been ordered.
According to the Senior Director, Channels and Programming of the TVA Group, Nathalie Fabien, the personalities who will take part in the game from the start of filming, starting at the end of October, have “very different” backgrounds and personalities, but they still believe in their chances of finding the right partner to go part of the way together.
The identities of the personalities have not been revealed.
Here are the profiles of the four protagonists provided by TVA.
Celebrity no1
52 year old woman single for five years, she finds the dating more difficult at her age and fears dating apps. This bubbly and romantic woman wants, through her journey, to inspire the fairer sex.
Does she still believe in love?
“I absolutely believe in love! I have so many dreams of a couple that live in me for the future, and I believe in them. It’s so nice, sharing your life with a lover! Supporting each other, sharing, planning. A lover, a friend, a lover!”
Celebrity no2
A 51-year-old woman who has been single for 10 years, she thrives on new challenges and learning. She is therefore ready to come out of “her woods” to meet.
Does she still believe in love?
“Yes. But I think that this complicity, this deep respect, even greater than a friendship, is difficult to find. Especially when children no longer cement a relationship. I sometimes wonder if I will have the chance to experience such a commitment, filled with honesty and therefore courage, before I die.”

A 37-year-old woman who has been single for three years, she considers dating apps “the jungle.” So she decided to try a new approach.
Does she still believe in love?
“Yes! Really! But I need help, I think. I want to shuffle the cards. I sincerely believe that the best is yet to come and that I will love again. I believe in my happiness. I also hope to be able to meet a man with whom I can ask myself: shall we have a child? I want to experience that, too. I still dream of motherhood.”

A 28-year-old man and icon of the queer community, he seduces viewers with his humor and flamboyant personality. A fan from the very beginning of If we loved each otherhe wants to gain confidence in himself in the dating life.
Does he still believe in love?
“I am a lover. I fall in love with friendship with the people around me, I love people deeply. So I will always believe in love because I know I can fall in love!”
Without Emily and Guillaume
We will soon know the identity of the new witness couple replacing Émily Bégin and Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge, who have been there since the very beginning.

Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge, let us recall, lost his job as presenter of Masked singers after sharing a racist video on social media last winter.
By announcing that the couple is not present in If we loved each other Celebritieswe understand that the channel preferred to remove them from the franchise.
Émily Bégin and Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge will however eventually return to the TVA channel since a third season of If we still loved each other has been filmed and has not yet been released.
Single men – straight and gay – come forward!
To help the four stars find love, TVA, Duo Productions and Québecor Content are inviting single men to come forward online. They are looking for both straight men for the three female personalities and gay men for the queer candidate.
