A document attributed to Travis Kelce’s representatives, predicting the announcement of a breakup between the two stars, has been circulating on social media. The main parties concerned deny its authenticity.

Is Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s breakup planned? The American football player’s representatives denounce the release of “fake” documents suggesting that the announcement of the two superstars’ separation is planned for the end of September.

At the heart of the rumor are two photographs that emerged earlier this week on social media. They show two pages bearing the logo of Full Scope, the public relations firm that manages Travis Kelce’s image. The two copies detail the media strategy that will be put in place when the couple announces their separation.

“Invented” documents

The text provides in particular for an official announcement on September 28, “three days after the breakup”, i.e. September 25. A date still to be announced. Enough to suggest a planned breakup and fuel conspiracy theories according to which the romance itself was fabricated for marketing or even political purposes.

“(These documents) are completely false and fabricated,” a Full Scope spokesperson told the Daily Mail on Wednesday, September 4. “They were not created, published or authorized by our agency.”

“We have engaged our legal team to take action against the individuals or entities responsible for this illegal and offensive counterfeit of documents,” he added. The origin of these two documents was not specified. Neither Taylor Swift nor Travis Kelce have spoken personally.

Conspiracy theories

The singer and the athlete made their relationship official in October 2023. The singer of Bad Blood notably attended several matches of the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce’s team, during the last NFL tournament.

Some commentators then spread the theory that the relationship between the two stars was actually fake, and had been set up to influence the results of the next American presidential election.

Because Taylor Swift’s support is highly coveted by candidates for the White House. Ultra-popular among young adults, with a community of ultra-devoted fans (the famous “swifties”), the singer has already proven in the past that her political support can resonate with voters.
