Get around the United States by Belgium: Pimentery focused on Rita Baga and Europe

No question of getting your feet in Trump’s dishes for an SME of Montreal champion of the spicy sauce, which joins forces with the Drag-Queen Rita Baga to conquer Belgium.

“The focus becomes Europe, we are lucky, it’s not all the companies that can do it, so, go, we go,” says the boss of pimenterie, Julien Fréchette at high speed.

It will not be a first in Europe for this filmmaker who became an entrepreneur 10 years ago. In 2023, pimentery was a great success in with its Kumquat Crush sauce launched in collaboration with the Youtubeur Gurky.

This time, Fréchette convinced a Drag-Queen in Montreal to lend her her image. Rita Baga, whose real name is Jean-François Guevremont, has been active since 2007 in addition to having animated Drag Race Belgiumin 2023.

The Drag Queen Québécoise Rita Bag has been known in Belgium since she hosted the popular Drag Race program in this country, in 2023.

The sauce she endorses, pink flash, is unique of its kind because of her color … pink. Slightly spicy, it contains berries (raspberries, camels and cranberries) as well as an infusion of hibiscus.

“Rose and Rita Baga are intimately linked,” laughs the drag about her new role as spokespersons.


After collaborating with a Youtubeur, the pimenterie is now associated with a Drag Queen for the promotion of its new flash pink sauce in Belgium.

Play chemist

Rose Flash is distinguished from the range of 25 sauces already produced by pimentery, whose products are offered in more than 1000 stores in Quebec, the United States and Europe.

“Rose was not easy!” It took months of trial and error before being satisfied by the color, ”explains Fréchette, who seems to have had a lot of fun playing the chemist with her strong peppers.

As of next week, Belgians will be able to get their hands on the product, a good amount of which is on the way to the country of Tintin.

The choice of Europe is not trivial. Pimentery has already had a foot in the United States since two of its sauces were selected for the 23e Popular program season Hot Ones, Last year.

“With everything that happens, we find it more safe To go and play on the old continent, ”sums up the master of the spicy sauces.

Without making a cross on Trump’s country, Fréchette will let the dust fall back. He will go and see elsewhere, develop new markets and wait to see how Trump will make his threats.

It is perhaps the success known in France in 2023 with Gurky who makes him confident. Everything concords, in any case, to try his luck elsewhere than in a bellicose country which never ceases to worry the business community.
