Thursday evening, the Municipal Office for Culture and Leisure held its general meeting. Gilles Heccan, the president, took stock of the past year.
In October, Dionys’Art, led by Claire Rétif, did not deny its success. More than 500 visitors were able to discover the works of 45 artists including 15 Dionysians, painters or sculptors, gathered around the guest of honor, the sculptor Marc Habarnau.
The 22nd e Bulles en Val welcomed 2,600 comic book enthusiast visitors who were able to meet the 48 authors and ten independent publishers present. The festival also includes interventions in the four schools, an exhibition which was a great success, two shows aimed at the youngest which were sold out.
The town hall supports the association, thanks to a grant and the provision of premises, equipment and personnel. The other financial partners are the Loiret departmental council, the regional directorate of cultural affairs and Crédit Agricole.
Like many associations in the cultural field, financial balance is difficult to maintain given the ever-increasing cost of accommodation, meals and travel for speakers and authors.
-Obtaining a tax ruling, by confirming the general interest status, should encourage private patronage, with donations being able to benefit from tax deductions.
In conclusion, Laurence Bellais, representing the town hall, thanked the association for its dynamism and its involvement in the organization of these two events which greatly mark the cultural season of Saint-Denis-en-Val.
