The Tranquilots met for their general assembly in the village hall under the leadership of their president Katherine Ferrières, determined more than ever to make “her club” a place for meetings, exchanges, sharing and conviviality. She is surrounded by the secretary Suzy Drouilhet, the treasurer Ms Mazot, Ms Castaing representing the Mayor, and Pierrette Darrieutor for the Génération Mouvement association to which Les Tranquilots belong.

The audience is numerous. After reading the minutes, the moral report. Katherine had fun making an estimate by sex and age of the members. Of the 122 registered, there are 88% women and 28% men. As for the distribution by age, 1 over 90 years old on one side and 5 under 65 years old on the other. This shows the amplitude of the frequentations and the richness of the exchanges!

Multiple activities

Suzy the secretary, with her verve and enthusiasm, details the numerous activities punctuating the progress of the occupations. Every day of the week, the afternoon, except the weekend, is busy: Monday numbers and letters and belote, Tuesday gym or scrabble, Wednesday, memory workshop and once a month pedicure, Thursday lotto, Friday belote and pétanque, lotto-municipality snack, annual meal, with 99 people this time. Pleasant moments which end with a little appreciated snack. The travel activity will resume service.

Association involved

The club actively participates in events led by Génération Mouvement and other associations for which it is strongly involved, particularly during the Telethon or the agricultural fair. Mrs Mazot, the treasurer presents her financial report where revenues and expenses are balanced. One clarification: the contribution will increase from €19 to €20. Marie-Laurence Castaing, on behalf of the municipality, welcomes this overflowing dynamism.

Générations Mouvement is about meetings, sharing and conviviality between members of the same association but also between members of the entire network. It is clear that more and more associations and federations of the Movement are coming together to create new outings, new moments of sharing, making new discoveries and new meetings.
