One might think that finding volunteers is not a children’s game for a big event. The 2025 edition of Eurovision which will take place in Basel exceeds all expectations. The organizers, looking for 700 volunteers, were overwhelmed by an extraordinary craze. Last September, they opened pre-registrations and received more than 7,000 applications, ten times more than expected.
Since the opening of official registrations last week, this enthusiasm has been confirmed. In just one week, more than 2141 people applied to be part of the adventure, reports the “Basler Zeitung”. And this is only the beginning: registrations continue until February 16.
Eurovision will take place from May 13 to 17, 2025. The show will be presented by Michelle Hunziker, Hazel Brugger and Sandra Studer. Romande Mélanie Freymond and Sven Epiney will have the mission to vibrate the public viewing In the St-Jacques stadium on the evening of the final.
