This year, for its 38e Edition, the members of the Jury of the Jean Freustié 2025 prize retained ten authors.

This list of ten books will be reduced to three finalists on February 27. The winner will be crowned a month later, and will succeed Mark Greenerecipient last year with his book Real Madrid (full -day editions). With a reward of 25,000 euros, this price is one of the best endowed in France.
Created in 1987 to perpetuate the writer’s memory Jean Freustieit is awarded each year to a French -speaking author for a prose work such as the novel, the news, the autobiography or the essay. To respect the ” Tradition of introspective lucidity Who characterized the one to whom he owes his name – according to a press release – the prize essentially distinguishes an author who is not at the list of the Grand Prix Littéraires in autumn.
For this 38e edition, the jury, chaired by Simonetta Greggio, is made up of Christian Authier, Dominique Barbéris, Franck Maubert, Olivier Mony, Henri-Hugues Lejeune, Anthony Palou, Eric Neuhoff, Yann Queffélec et Philippe Vilain.
