In the district of Très d’Arènes, there is a place where music brings artists and audiences together in an intimate atmosphere: the jam. For 45 years, this emblematic concert hall and music school has brought jazz to life, while welcoming sounds from the four corners of the world.

To celebrate this anniversary, the jam offers a rich and vibrant program for the first quarter of 2025, with around thirty concerts and events designed to discover talents and delight the faithful.

The Jam: 45 years of music, stories and sharing

Created in 1979the Jam has established itself as a staple of the Montpellier music scene. With its capacity of 350 people and a unique proximity to the artists, it remains a special place where music is experienced intensely. For its most frequent spectators, the Jam has even created a Jam Club subscriptiona first to thank those who, for years, have supported its artistic mission.

A favorite program for winter

The quarter begins with the sign of rising stars. On January 27, the trio Emile Londonien will take over the stage with jazz inspired by Berlin and London clubs. Between house, hip-hop and acoustic sounds, their concert is an immersion in the new European wave of electronic jazz.

Another highlight of the season: January 31, with Becca StevensAmerican singer and guitarist. This solo concert promises a rare intimacy, where folk and jazz will be revealed in all their purity.

In February, the duo Ablaye Cissoko & Cyrille Brotto returns to the Jam with a new album. Their unique blend of kora and accordion creates suspended music, like a poetic conversation between two cultures.

An anniversary season that promises emotions

For Jam programmer Michael Williams, this quarter is above all a celebration: “These 45 years are an important milestone. We want to offer the public strong experiences, between emerging talents, favorite concerts and educational events. The Jam remains a lively, warm place, where everyone can find music that speaks to them. »

With a program designed for all tastes and a friendly atmosphere, the Jam continues to surprise and move. So, whether you are jazz lovers or simply curious, this 2025 season is the perfect opportunity to (re)discover this unique place in Montpellier.
