In’Finitus sold out

Saturday afternoon, it was necessary to add chairs in the Anna-Marly media library for the many spectators who came to attend the concert of In’Finitus, a duo composed of Karen Chamineau and Franck Giraud.

The two accordionists took the audience on a journey throughout Europe in eight pieces, revisiting certain classics but also offering tunes of their own composition.

The decor is sober, a white canvas has been installed on which the play of light is reflected. But that is not the main thing. For almost an hour, the audience let themselves be carried away by sounds inspired by the spirit of jazz, gypsy or oriental, Occitan or Balkan music.

For a moment, the spectators surprised themselves by closing their eyes to enjoy an Irish stroll, projecting themselves into breathtaking landscapes where the grass is short but where strong chords are heard from a distant pub, drowned in fog. The two accordionists also wanted to share a piece of their composition, which they wrote in December 2023, in the Perigord countryside, to celebrate their recent meeting.

At the end of the show, the artists invited the accordion players to join them on stage. Karen Chamineau was very proud to welcome her students from the music conservatory, where she teaches, humorously telling the audience, impressed by her accordion, that the children were learning on much more suitable instruments.
