The manager Séverine Carréoriginally from Hénin-Beaumont (Pas-de-Calais), has lived on route de la Tuilerie since 17 ans with his spouse. “We organized garage sales under tarpaulins here for several years. Then I wanted to open a restaurant », confides the boss.
Despite administrative difficulties, Séverine and her partner have fully funded this project on their land, favoring the creation of a place to live and share over the construction of a house.
An original decoration
The structure is composed of eight Algeco(construction site bungalows) well arranged with one for the toilets, one for the kitchen and the six others form a space that can accommodate 70 people.
From the entrance, far from busy roads, the decor is surprising : orange rotary telephone, psychedelic wallpaper, reclaimed furniture and even a vintage telephone booth which will make the oldest ones nostalgic.
-The manager also created a location dedicated to karaokeand the blind tests, hosted by Sean, his son. The music, a key element of the 70s, is of course there.
Séverine Carré returned her establishment accessible to people with reduced mobilityand installed a wooden guardrail outside. The terrace is large and a pétanque court and outdoor games have been arranged.
