What to do to keep busy during the summer holidays? Here are some ideas.
- Don’t think we’re sleeping, a documentary film by Lou Marillier and Nick Walters on athletes, amateurs and professionals, their victories, their defeats, their joys, their despairs. Friday January 17, at 1:30 p.m., and Sunday January 19, at 4:30 p.m., at the Origin cinema, in Dumbéa.
- Sonic 3at the Cinédrive-in du Mont-Dore, Friday January 17, at 7:30 p.m. Opening of the drive-in and snack bar at 6:15 p.m.

- Vaiana 2 at the Cinédrive-in du Mont-Dore, Saturday January 18, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Opening of the drive-in and snack bar at 6:15 p.m.
- Cinema snack The Iron Giant, Saturday January 18, at 1 p.m., at the Origin cinema, in Dumbéa. The screening will be followed by a robotics workshop led by the Symbiose association, which will present its little Ozobots, small robots that children will learn to manipulate. And a snack. - Cinema recreation at Cinécity Nouméa with A Night at the Zooin preview, Sunday January 19, at 3 p.m. From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., coloring, makeup and cupcake workshop offered to all children.
- A Night at the Zoo is also in preview at the Origin cinema, in Dumbéa, Sunday January 19, at 3 p.m.
- Baby swimmers at the Nouméa aquatic center, in Magenta. In small groups of 8 children aged 1 to 2 years, 30-minute sessions to learn about swimming. The next ones? Saturday January 18 and Sunday January 19, from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Price: 1,500 F, including entry to the swimming pool for both parents.
- Aquatic garden at the Nouméa aquatic center, in Magenta. For children aged 2 to 4, in small groups, fun sessions to familiarize themselves with the aquatic environment and gain confidence while having fun. Next meetings Saturday January 18 and Sunday January 19, from 8:55 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. (30 minutes). Price: 1,500 F, including entry to the swimming pool for both parents.
- Children’s swimming lessons at the Jacques-Mouren swimming pool, in Ouen-Toro, for children aged 5 and over. Sessions of 4 sessions per week are organized to learn and improve the different strokes. Duration: 30 minutes, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Schedules according to level. Package of 10 sessions: 7,800 F.

- Open day at the new center d’iBoulouparis fire and rescue, Saturday January 18, from 9 a.m.
- Cricket, baseball, football, basketball, orienteering, hiking, obstacle course, blind course, weaving, dance, circus, batucada… Free activities are offered for all ages, from Tuesday to Friday, until January 31, in the different districts of Nouméa, at the Kaméré 2000 space, at the Ukeiwé sports complex in Rivière-Salée, at the Magenta association house and at the house of associations of Magenta aerodrome. - The holiday courses in the town of Mont-Dore continue, for a week, a day or a half-day, until February 7. From 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Plum sports hall and the Victorin-Boewa cultural and sports complex, in Boulari. - “All in the water”: the Boulari swimming pool is free for children under 12 accompanied by an adult until January 31. The swimming pool is open Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Workshops on songs, noises and cries of animals, kokedamas (micro-gardens) and discovery of Noumean ecosystems in virtual reality, at the Maison de labiodiversité, in Nouméa, on Saturday January 18, from 10:30 a.m. to noon and from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. From 12 years old. Free.
