Christian Ploux is very involved in the town, he runs the painting workshop section of the cultural center.
A painter since 1993, he explains: “I only painted on canvas from 1993, but I started doing it earlier on earthenware tiles”at that time he was 21 years old. It’s no coincidence, “my training as a mosaicist and my work naturally led me there.” It was in 2008 that he moved to Comigne with his wife Valérie. This couple from Franche-Comté was already spending their holidays in Aude.
When asked how he conceives his art, in a passionate voice he replies, “for me art is infinite”. And the infinity of art, he has explored it endlessly since 1993, “I couldn’t always paint the same thing, so I went to explore other techniques.” He not only explored them, he largely mastered them on colorful canvases, moving from realism to surrealism, combining colors and techniques, painting according to his passions. He finds his inspiration “while walking with Valérie. You know, I memorize things well.” Its most important news is its exhibition on the walls of the Idiot du village in Capendu. It will last from Friday January 17 to February 23 and will be visible during opening hours of the establishment.
