VIDEO – Jeanne, 94, has been in conflict with Mélanie and José since 2019 because of a common path between their two homes. The retiree's son is convinced that José killed his cat.

The sequence is causing a lot of talk. In a new issue broadcast Sunday January 12 on M6, “Forbidden zone” was interested in neighborhood conflicts. Among the various subjects, the journalists from the magazine presented by Ophélie Meunier went to La Castagne, a place with a predestined name located around twenty kilometers from .

Since 2019, José and Mélanie have been at war with Jeanne, their 94-year-old neighbor. The reason: their two houses are served by one and the same road. The retiree has lived in this house for 65 years and she has always used this driveway to access her home because the other access is on the other side of the garden, on the edge of a secondary road.

Convinced of having exclusive access to the path in question, the couple, who built their house on land sold by their neighbor, refused to allow the retiree and her family to use it. To prevent them, José and Mélanie did not hesitate to fence the gates. Twice. The first time, the old lady's son and grandson tore everything away.

The second time, captured by the “Forbidden Zone” cameras, ignited the powder. Seeing his mother's neighbors installing new fences, Stéphane left the house and a heated altercation broke out between the two men. In fact, Jeanne's son made accusations that made José angry. “I maintain that you killed my cat”he declared. José, first equipped with a shovel, then approached Stéphane with determined steps to do battle. “You killed my cat”reiterated Stéphane, before uttering an insult. “I didn’t kill your cat”José defended himself. “You killed my cat!”Jeanne's son repeated again before giving her a violent headbutt.

Mélanie immediately grabbed her husband's attacker by the t-shirt. “But you’re not well!”she screamed as Stéphane fell on her. Faced with the situation, the journalist immediately intervened to prevent the retiree's son from attacking the neighbor. Despite his bloody nose and while waiting for the police to arrive, warned by Mélanie, José nevertheless continued to install the fence. “He looks fine for someone who was down and mortally wounded.”noted Stéphane.

After a visit to the president of the Bordeaux district court, who forced Mélanie and José to remove the fence that they had put up in front of the gates, a mediator was mandated to find a favorable outcome to this conflict. After two hours of discussions, Jeanne and her family proposed widening the alley of the subdivision by giving up part of their land. A proposal that the couple had not accepted at the time of the report.
