This work was presented on the sidelines of an artistic evening hosted by the troupe “Nass El Ghiwane Allal” and the artists Najat Aâtabou et Mohamed Rissaniin homage to the legendary group’s more than half-century legacy Nass El Ghiwaneindicates a press release from the organizers.
The book published by the“Lama for art and culture” association compiles the group’s most famous songs, translated into French and accompanied by paintings and musical scores, adds the same source, specifying that it is the fruit of a collaboration with the artist Mourad El Mahouri and the plastic artist Mohamed Dakir.
This work represents a documentary approach aimed at preserving thelegacy of Nass El Ghiwanewhile opening up to foreign cultures through the translation and composition of songs in an academic musical language in order to make this musical heritage accessible to all artists around the world, said Arif Redouane Raifak, quoted in the press release.
Stressing the importance of academic musical study in order to promote this musical style and ensure its continuity, he noted that this publication will be followed by translations into several languages. And to add that the “Nass El Ghiwane Allal” troupe will organize concerts and signing sessions in several European countries.
