More details on The Rock’s canceled match at WrestleMania 41

We recently learned that the match between The Rock and Cody Rhodes scheduled for WrestleMania was ultimately canceled by WWE.

According to Fightful, if WWE is now considering a match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania, it is because the company does not expect The Rock to participate in the event. Currently, WWE creative team assumes The Rock won’t wrestle at WrestleMania 41although this situation could change by April.

During the premiere of Moana 2 last November, The Rock and Cody Rhodes recorded a sequence together. At that time, Fightful was informed that this footage may never be released. According to internal sources, this sequence was similar to what we saw during the first WWE RAW on Netflix.
