Tango, this music imbued with the salt of life, intensely mixes poignant dramas and burning pleasures. Born in Argentina and become universal, tango resonates in the hearts of all. No wonder, then, that it brings people together across the oceans.
Many enthusiasts will undoubtedly meet on Saturday January 18 at 6 p.m., at the Pergola de Libos, for this concert signed Connaissance des Jeunes Interprètes. The musicians invited for this concert are three women, three personalities from three cultures: the Italian guitarist Roberta Roman, the Argentine bandone player Marisa Mercadé and the French cellist Michèle Pierre. The Roberta Roman Trio offers a unique journey harmoniously blending popular and scholarly music. Its subtle melodies, bewitching rhythms and elegant harmonies define its identity. His interpretive solutions combine irony and sensuality, sobriety and sentimental abandon, energy and delicacy. Its repertoire embraces the tango of the origins, the tango Nuevo of Astor Piazzolla, as well as works written especially for their ensemble.
For more than 20 years, the Trio has performed on stages around the world and shared the bill with internationally renowned artists such as Pink Martini, Richard Galliano, Gotan Project… Its concerts have been broadcast by Radio France, Rai Italy and Mexican Radio-TV. The specialist press speaks of “their lively, refined, thrilling execution, of respectful passion and truly unusual ability”.
The evening can continue around a paella meal, in the presence of the musicians, upon reservation before January 14. Access to the concert is offered at €20, with a reduced rate of €5 for students, high school students, college students and job seekers. The cost of the meal is €17.
