A New Year’s concert with the Stuttgarter Barock-Collegium in Wissembourg

The Stuttgarter Barock-Collegium, with Eckhard Schmidt and Rudi Scheck on trumpets and corno da caccia, and church director Christian-Markus Raiser on organ, has been touring the entire country for many years for the first days of the new year. With works by Molter, Bach, Rinck, Dvorak and Manfredini, these musicians will bring festive sounds to the Saint-Jean church in Wissembourg Friday January 10.

A solo trumpeter at the Opera state from Hamburg

Trumpeter Eckhard Schmidt is principal trumpeter at the Hamburg State Opera and professor at the Hamburg University of Music, and has been playing for many years with Rudi Scheck, the independent trumpeter from the Stuttgart region. The third member of the group is Christian-Markus Raiser, director of church music in Karlsruhe. The three musicians have been playing together in this group since their studies in Stuttgart.

Friday January 10 at 8 p.m. at the Saint-Jean de Wissembourg church, place Martin-Bucer. The public will then be invited to the reception for the “wishes” of the Catholic and Protestant parish. Free entry, tray.
