Roborock unveils an unusual robot vacuum cleaner equipped with a mechanical arm (and lots of other new features)

At CES 2025, Roborock is presenting three new vacuum cleaner robots, but also a new range of mop vacuum cleaners. The brand is also reviewing the name of its products, thus completing the line of the famous S series. New functions are also available.

Roborock is one of the world leaders in the field of robot vacuum cleaners, with products with remarkable performance, such as the S8 MaxV Ultra, announced a year ago at CES 2024.

However, the brand is not resting on its laurels and has just presented a series of particularly innovative vacuum cleaner robots. Among them, the Saros Z70 stands out, thanks to its articulated arm allowing it to lift and move objects that could block its path.

The other two robots are not to be outdone, capable of slipping under furniture, but also of effectively detecting obstacles and of course cleaning floors thoroughly.

Finally, Roborock has lifted the veil on its new range of floor scrubbers, the F25 series. This has powerful suction, as well as advanced cleaning features for perfect hygiene.

Saros series: Super-powerful and intelligent robots

The brand’s new range of vacuum cleaners is available in three models. Although their names are similar, they are somewhat different and suit different needs.

Thorough cleaning

The Saros Z70, Saros 10, and Saros 10R. All three models have powerful suction, ranging from 19,000 Pa for the Saros 10R to 22,000 Pa for the Saros 10 and Saros Z70. Such power is unprecedented in a robot vacuum cleaner, which allows for deep cleaning of floors, but also carpets.

The robots also benefit from an extendable brush at the front, allowing you to clean corners and along baseboards effectively. Likewise, they feature anti-tangle technology, preventing hair and pet hair from accumulating there.

They are also equipped with an advanced washing station, allowing both washing the mops at 80ºC, drying them, as well as automatically adding cleaning product thanks to the detergent tank.

The Saros series also ensures washing along baseboards with a mop pad. The Saros Z70 and Saros 10R use rotating mop pads, one of which can extend. The Saros 10 uses a vibrating mop, like the one already present on the S8 MaxV Ultra. In all three cases, the mop can be automatically removed and left in the base, particularly useful when the robot vacuums thick carpets.

Innovative navigation technology for thinner robots

The main innovation of the Saros range is the thinness of the robots, measuring less than 8cm, which allows them to clean under low furniture. To do this, the Saros 10R and Saros Z70 use new navigation technology, similar to that of the Qrevo Slim. This combines ToF (time of flight) sensors with cameras, thus replacing the traditional LiDAR dome and allowing the robot to be thinner.

The Saros 10 is different from its siblings, since it still has an LDS dome on the top, but which can be retracted. It can thus slide under furniture by lowering the dome, allowing it to be as agile as the other two models.

Roborock Saros 10

These innovations make the Saros series the thinnest on the market, at less than 8 cm thick. Additionally, the range features new side avoidance technology, allowing for better detection and cleaning around cables, irregular walls and furniture.

Finally, the new chassis allow robots to cross thresholds of up to 4 cm, as the Roborock Qrevo Curv does.

A robotic arm to move obstacles

The Roborock Saros Z70 is the brand’s most unusual and probably most innovative product to date. Equipped with a robotic arm, he is able to move objects that might prevent him from moving. This folds into the body of the robot and deploys only when necessary. It can lift and store small items weighing less than 300g, such as socks, papers, slippers, etc.

The Roborock application will allow you to select the types of objects to move and where to place them. Roborock indicates, however, that this feature will be disabled by default and will have to be activated manually, which raises questions about its effectiveness in everyday life.

Smart features

The robots also come with advanced artificial intelligence features, which automatically adjust cleaning settings, mop washing frequency, and more.

They are also compatible with Alexa, Google Home, Siri and will even be compatible with Matter. They also integrate Roborock’s Hello Rocky voice assistant, allowing them to be controlled by voice without the need for connected speakers.

Additionally, they have pet-friendly features. Not only can they recognize your pet and help you monitor them while you’re away, they also stop the brush when approaching animals to avoid scaring them.

Roborock F25: Scrubbers for deep cleaning

In addition to robot vacuum cleaners, Roborock has announced a new range of mop vacuum cleaners, the F25 series. This is available in five models: F25, F25 ALT, F25 ACE, F25 RT and F25 LT. With these products, the brand aims to offer complete and effective cleaning, for impeccable floors.

Goodbye bacteria!

The main novelty of the F25 series is its ability to overcome bacteria, since it removes up to 99.9%. The F25 is therefore perfect for families with children, especially infants, providing them with a healthier environment.

Thanks to the suction power of 20,000 Pa, coupled with a 450 rpm brush whose pressure exceeds 20N, the results should be perfect. Roborock also indicates that a single pass will be enough to make the floors clean, all without leaving any marks.

Plus, just like the Saros range, the F25 series features anti-tangle technology, particularly useful if you have pets.

Easy to handle to reach every corner

The F25 is designed to easily clean under furniture and along baseboards with its slim, flat 12.5cm design, as well as a design that allows it to clean flat.

A complete… and complex range

The F25 series is available in five relatively similar models. The F25 RT and F25 LT are the entry level, capable of vacuuming and washing, without additional features. They only differ in their battery, since the F25 RT has an autonomy of 40 minutes, while the F25 LT can clean for an hour.

The Roborock F25 has a DirTect sensor allowing it to automatically adjust the cleaning power depending on the dirt. This feature also allows self-cleaning to be adapted once the broom has been returned to its base.

The F25 ALT offers increased maneuverability thanks to motors integrated into the wheels. This allows for precise turns in tight spaces, whether pushing or pulling. It also benefits from an integrated detergent tank, allowing it to be dispensed automatically during cleaning.

As for the F25 ACE, it includes all these features, as well as compatibility with the Roborock application for personalized cleaning.

Finally, the F25 and F25 ACE will also be offered in combo versions. These will be equipped with numerous brushes and accessories to clean all surfaces, benefiting from a single product for vacuuming and washing.

Price and availability

All of the products announced will be available during the first half of 2025, both in stores and online. For the first time in , Roborock will also market water-connectable versions of its robots, eliminating the need for manual maintenance of tanks.
