More than two months after the funeral of Michel Blanc, Thierry Lhermitte remembers this amusing intervention that took place at his friend's funeral.
Gathered in the Saint-Eustache church on October 10, Michel Blanc's loved ones were treated to the curious intervention of a complete stranger in the middle of a funeral. An amusing anecdote that Thierry Lhermitte told with a smile on his face on the set of “Quelle period! » on France 2, Saturday December 21.
“During the funeral, there is a guy in a tracksuit who crosses, who goes to speak to one of the priests. We wondered what was happening,” begins the actor from the Splendid troupe. The priest then informs the assembly that the man in the tracksuit has something to say. “The guy says: “Michel is talking to me!” “. It's a little chilly. He says: “He wants you to sing, for us all to sing together.” » The man then begins to hum the cult “When will I see you again, wonderful country”, to the delight of those close to the actor.

“It was so nice, spontaneous, warm,” recalls Thierry Lhermitte. “I think Michel would have loved it. » Having died a week earlier, the interpreter of Jean-Claude Dusse in “Les Bronzés” will have left a void among his friends at Splendid. After having all paid their respects at the funeral on October 10, they met more intimately at the Père-Lachaise cemetery in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.

An intimate tribute between Splendid actors
On the grave of their friend, Christian Clavier, Josiane Balasko, Thierry Lhermitte, Marie-Anne Chazel, Gérard Jugnot and Bruno Moynot had made a last joke on Michel Blanc by laying a wreath with the following inscription: “Your colleagues from La Française intensity”. A common joke between the seven friends that Thierry Lhermitte then explained on “Sept à Huit”: “With Michel, we had a little delusion, it was to call a company, the Frenchwoman of intensity. Which doesn't mean anything at all but it's like the Frenchwoman of games, the Frenchwoman of oil, the Frenchwoman of whatever, whatever. So pretended it was a retirement ceremony. I think Michel would have laughed a lot at that. »
