On the go | Gnocchi in the snow for $5

Eating the famous Della Nonna gnocchi from Drogheria Fine in the snow is certainly a great way to experience your Nordicness… and your Montrealness!

After eight years of loyal service on the sidelines of the store which will celebrate its 15the anniversary, the small counter on Fairmount Avenue still attracts crowds in Mile End.

What remains unchanged? Its succulent traditional Calabrian tomato sauce, but also its low price of $5 for a portion of gnocchi served in a small white cardboard box to take away. “We resist inflation thanks to our family energy,” says chef-owner Franco Gattuso.

The counter is open every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the same time as the little boutique where you can stock up on guest gifts (oils, pesto, sauces) for the holiday season. You can also take the opportunity to stop by Fairmount Bagel next door.

Finally, know that Franco Gattuso intends to be open as usual on 1is January. For him, it’s even one of the busiest days of the year.
