It’s a year full of promise for Anne Ruwet and Thibaut Roland. A few months before the arrival of their twins, the two RTL tvi journalists spoke to Ciné-Télé-Revue in an exclusive interview. A dive into their love story, their thoughts on parenthood and the joys and challenges that await them.
Anne Ruwet, voted best sports journalist at the Ciné-Télé-Revue Awards, shared a key moment of this adventure: how she revealed to Thibaut that they were expecting twins. “I told my gynecologist about this scenario. I asked her to record the heartbeat and we heard her say: “And here are the beats of the second. I had to play the audio twice for him to realize.”
“There was a little moment of astonishment, but in fact, very quickly, we had contact with people who had twins and they told us that it was a happiness that they would not exchange for anything at all. world This reassured us And then, my consumer reflex returned: I think of the family packs, the 1 + 1 free, the reductions.adds Thibaut, laughing.
A love story born at the gym
Their romance is not new. Anne and Thibaut met at RTL sports, but it was after his departure that it all started. Anne used a charming ploy: she signed up for Thibaut’s gym. “We had a drink, and then we talked for hours. Eight years later, we’re still here”says Anne. Thibaut, for his part, admits to having had fears at the beginning: “I was a lone wolf, very much a homebody. Anne was able to slowly break down my barriers”.
Anne, radiant and positive, is having a peaceful pregnancy. “I’m just over six months and everything is going wonderfully. The nights are sometimes short, but feeling the babies move is incredible”. The couple happily anticipates the challenges and joys of parenthood. The qualities they hope to pass on to their children? For Anne, Thibaut’s multiple talents and humor. For him, the generosity and strength of optimism of his partner.
First names, organization and projects: everything remains to be done
When it comes to the choice of first names, the mystery remains: “We haven’t decided anything yet”confides Thibaut. Anne adds: “We passed around a table, and everyone wrote their preference on it. So, maybe we’ll draw from it”.
The end of year celebrations will be an opportunity to finalize the birth list and reorganize the house. And marriage? This is not on the agenda. “Having children together is a much stronger commitment”concludes Thibaut.
