The facts date back to 2022. Present on the set of Touche pas à mon poste, Louis Boyard, then deputy of La France Insoumise,
will have a heated altercation with Cyril Hanouna who will then insult him. “You idiot”; “you’re an asshole”; “tocard, go”; “jester, go”; “you are shit” are all insults uttered by the host against the politician who had in the past been one of Cyril Hanouna's columnists.
Originally scheduled for December 12, 2024, the trial of the C8 presenter will finally open this Tuesday, December 17 before the Paris judicial court. If Louis Boyard affirms that he will be present at the hearing, this will not be the case for Cyril Hanouna: “Unfortunately Mr Boyard, I work”, he says.
Cyril Hanouna will not be present at his trial
And the host does not hesitate to be harsh with Louis Boyard: “You have nothing to do but I work. I won't be there, I would have liked to. I will send one of my lawyers Louis Boyard, you will have one of my lawyers. It’s true, I can’t go.”
Following his altercation with Louis Boyard, C8 received a fine of 3.5 million. “Arcom in fact considered that these remarks infringed the rights of the guest, respect for his honor and his reputation” and that “this sequence reflected a lack of awareness by the publisher of its obligation to control its antenna”, declared the media regulator in a press release.
The facilitator adds a layer
Cyril Hanouna thus gives very little credit to this trial. The host did not hesitate to discredit Louis Boyard, when he was delighted to see C8 close. “Louis, it was a joke. I will always be there to show the French that you are the shame of France, he repeated. I'll be there at the start of the school year, but you start looking for a summer job. If you want, I can hook you up to sell scrunchies at the beach. Does that appeal to you? It’s cool,” he wrote on X.
Between the two men, the rag burns a little more. But what will justice say? Response in a few days.
