The position of director of the Périscope theater in Nîmes is to be filled on March 3, 2025.
Arriving at the head of the Périscope theater in 2014, Maud Paschal will hand over the reins. During her mandate, she notably enabled the small venue in the Gambetta district to obtain certification for its work exploring the arts of puppetry in 2019. The position is to be filled on March 3.
Supported by the Kaléidoscope association, the theater, whose annual budget is €640,000, has existed for 25 years and has developed synergies with many cultural actors in the region, from the Nîmes theater to the Pôle cirque, including Uzès danse , the Cratère or the Christian-Liger theater. According to the announcement published online, the new recruit will “in continuation of the project developed by the previous management” implement “an artistic and cultural project of establishment with a strong axis around the arts of puppetry, objects and animated forms.” In connection with the Gambetta district, it will also have to “develop a demanding artistic and cultural education policy aimed at all audiences, with particular attention to residents of priority neighborhoods, far from cultural practices.”
